My Story...
I was digging through some old files this past weekend and came across an old manila file. The file contained 30 years of 5 year plans that Melissa and I had written. We grabbed a bottle of red and sat down for a nostalgic journey down memory lane.
It was all there, written down; dreamed, visioned, planned, and executed right down to the month and year.
Now we're busy developing our 10-year plan for 2030. Using the board below, start to envision your dream life. The experience of taking strategic steps towards a wild future is fun and exciting. We cannot wait for what is in store, I hope you are as excited as well!
How can you begin?
Grab a piece of paper (preferably 11”x17” or 2 x 8 1/2”x11” taped together) and some colouring pencils or sharpies (raid your kids' room if you need to). After dreaming and visualizing what your life could look like in 10 years' time, attempt to draw it, and no you don’t need to be an artist.
Think about your family, how old you and your family are, where you’ll be living, how active and healthy you are, your happiness, your holidays and trips you’re going to take, your business, any M&A activity, education or courses you plan on taking, are you still working?
Whatever comes to mind. Now put it up on the wall in your office or somewhere you can see it every day, share it to your; partner, kids, friends and colleagues. Discuss your dreams, get excited about them. Now go do it!
The Importance of Visualization;

- Don't give up!
